Every great movement begins with a decision. A decision to stop waiting for the table to be built and to build it yourself.

Seven years ago, I made that decision alongside Lady Kaye and Lady Alecia. What we created was not just an organization. It was a declaration that women deserved a sisterhood rooted in something real. Alpha Mu Omega Sorority, Inc. was founded on mutual respect, intentional community, and the belief that when women are truly supported, they transform everything around them. That conviction has never wavered. And seven years in, it has only grown louder.

Today, Alpha Mu Omega is more than a sorority. We are a movement of women who show up for each other, for their communities, and for causes that far too often go unspoken. Our work is anchored in the issues that touch the lives of our members most deeply: the health disparities that disproportionately affect women of color, including PCOS and heart disease; the invisible wounds carried by those who have served and those who love them; the weight of PTSD, and the urgent need for spaces that honor mental, emotional, and spiritual wholeness.

These are not talking points. They are personal. They are the reason we exist.

As we look ahead, Alpha Mu Omega is expanding in membership, in reach, and in impact. We are building partnerships, developing programs, and creating pathways for women who are ready to lead with purpose. We are actively growing our sisterhood, and we are looking for women who do not just want to belong to something, but want to build something.

​

Membership in Alpha Mu Omega is not a formality.  It is a commitment. Our new member development process spans 14 to 18 weeks and is intentionally extensive. We invest deeply in the women who join us because we believe that the strength of a sisterhood is only as lasting as the foundation its members are built on.
